According to ZDnet, the first update for Windows 8.1 might come as soon as March 11th; through a store update (much like 8.1 was delivered). According to rumors Update 1 for 8.1 will mainly focus on making Windows 8 more accessible on low ram devices and tablets. Also rumored is the ability to make Metro apps accessible from desktop mode by pinning them to the taskbar.

It’s interesting to see an update ready to roll-out so soon after 8.1 has been released, not that I’m complaining; but if only Microsoft would approach Windows Phone updates with as much vigor.
