standard Micromax Announces New Line of “Canvas Win” Windows Phone 8.1 Devices



Indian phone manufacturer Micromax have just announced their first ever Windows Phone devices, conveniently running on the all new Windows Phone 8.1 update. Micromax unveiled two devices in their line-up today, including the Canvas Win W121 which comes with:

  • 2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor
  • 1GB RAM
  • 8GB internal memory + microSD
  • Dual-SIM support
  • 5 inch HD screen
  • 8 megapixel rear camera (and LED flash)
  • 2 megapixel front facing camera

The Canvas Win W121 is priced at 9500 RS (~$160)

W092_black_thumb_1BE57E95The second device announced today is the “Canvas Win W092″, a second Windows Phone 8.1 device, which has a very shoddy photoshop render seen above, since it seems to be running WP 8.1 on Android Hardware. The specs for the W092 are:

  •  1.2 Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 8GB internal memory + microSD
  • 4 inch IPS WVGA display
  • 5 megapixel rear camera (with LED flash­)
  • 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera
  • Dual-SIM support
  • 1500 mAh battery.

Although Micromax could;ve tried a little harder and made a render with actual Windows Phone buttons, it’s nice to see some new additions to the platform.
