standard Samsung to Pay Nokia and Apple $2 Million for Leaking Details of Patent Agreement

imagesIn a recent court ruling, the  courts decided that Samsung and their law firm should pay Nokia and Apple a collective sum of $2 Million dollars for leaking details related to the Apple-Nokia patent agreement. Samsung shared the information with their attorney during one of their multiple law suits with Apple, after which the attorney publicly shared that information and even used it in patent dealings with Nokia to bring down the settlement price.

Given the obvious breach in confidentiality the court issued that Samsung should cover the legal fees for both Nokia and Apple as well as pay the $2 million dollar fine (which is literally chump change for a big dog like Samsung).

Via, Thanks for the tip Alvester
