standard Microsoft Confirms Merging ALL Windows Operating Systems Into One

1520 & 2520Many suspected that Windows Phone and Windows RT were destined to merge eventually, as they slowly grew closer together; and the line between tablet and phablet thinned even more. However today Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella announced that ALL Windows Operating Systems will be merged into one, creating only one OS to run on all devices.

“streamline the next version of Windows from three operating systems into one single converged operating system.” Describing the implications of the change, Nadella said “this means one operating system that covers all screen sizes.”

This comes as an additional effort to streamline efficiency and productivity from the Microsoft teams, as currently the Windows Phone team and Windows OS team are on different pages. Although there will remain different “version” of Windows OS, developers will only have to create a single app that will run seamlessly on all devices; without adding any difficulty to the end user, or the developer.

Exciting news… One OS to rule them all.
