Facebook Messenger has become my default messaging app on Windows Phone, simply because I like keeping all my messages accessible anywhere, regardless if I’m on a new phone or on my PC, a feature Whatsapp doesn’t provide. Admittedly the Windows Phone developing the Facebook messenger app for WP have done an excellent job providing updates and slowly adding new features into the app, and today they’ve added another (one that I personally requested multiple times) which is the ability to send voice recordings through the app.
Another update in the app is the support for the Facebook Smileys and Emoji (meaning you’ll see the same emoji used on iOS and Android similar to how whatsapp is), this I’m not a big fan of only because the smileys don’t seem to be high resolution, at least not on my 1520.
The official changelog is as follows:
-Now you can record voice messages—one of our most requested features.
-Send emoticons like smiley faces and more.
-Other improvements, including some to help you save data

What features do you think the app could still use, voice calling anyone?
