The Lumia 630 is an impressive device, with a nice price-tag; but how does it function with only 512 MBs of ram? We put it to the test against the monster specced (and screened) Lumia 1520, check it out in the video below:
As mentioned in the video, the Lumia 1520 is running WP 8.1 Update 1 (Developer Preview) without Nokia Cyan, while the Lumia 630 is running WP 8.1 with Nokia Cyan (but not Update 1).
As is usual from Windows Phone, the fact that it’s running on half the ram of other devices doesn’t really affect the performance much, in fact you can’t really tell the difference except in some loading screen or resuming pauses (which have severely decreased with WP 8.1). However as seen in the video there were some issues resuming Facebook Beta from the background, but that’s more than likely an issue with the app itself rather than a problem with the phone.
