standard Microsoft Removes Yearly Subscription for Developers

Lifetime-Dev-Center-subscriptionsToday Microsoft announced that they have removed the yearly subscription fees that used to be required to maintain a developer account. These new changes meant hat developers will only have to pay the original subscription fee and will be able to develop for both Windows Phone and Windows for life.

This is obviously a more enticing feature to get more developers to adopt the Windows Phone platform for their apps, will it work?
