standard Microsoft Releases Handwriting Recognition Keyboard for Android Wear Devices

Google ConferenceAlthough Microsoft have yet to enter the smartwatch race, that hasn’t stopped them from releasing a new keyboard for Android wear devices. Since most smartwatches have ridiculously small screens, typing can be difficult on them; enter Microsoft’s “Analog Keyboard Project”.

This project allows users to draw letters and numbers with their finger on the screen as a way of text input (think back to the palm pilot days). Although it does take a ridiculous amount of time it can be useful for short quick responses, or when you can’t get to your phone right this second.

The keyboard isn’t yet available in the Play Store, but it can be downloaded from the Microsoft research site (linked below).
