standard “What’s next, Nokia?” Event on Tuesday November 18th

DSC06193NOKIA (not Microsoft) will be present at SLUSH 2014, Finland’s largest tech conference, being held on November 18th and 19th. Nokia are scheduled to speak on Tuesday, holding an event called What’s next, Nokia?. Listed as the head speaker in the Nokia event is, Sebastian Nyström, “Head of Products Business at Nokia”. Although the name doesn’t explain much, Sebastian is in charge on building the Nokia brand name, as explained below.

Sebastian is the Head of Products Business at Nokia Technologies. The business aims at establishing new businesses built on Nokia innovations and the Nokia brand, focusing on consumers directly or through other customer companies.

The presence of Sebastian as a speaker hints heavily to the possibility of announcing a Nokia licensed product (3rd party built, with the Nokia name), or perhaps just an explanation of the fresh start Nokia has been tweeting about. Also present however will be members of Nokia’s Z-Launcher team, the team that created an Android launcher, many have speculated the possibility of following this up with an Android device, or more Android directed hardware.

Whatever it is, we’ll find out soon enough.
