standard Microsoft to Bring Offline OneDrive Access to Windows Phone

According to a post in Microsoft’s  OneDrive uservoice suggestion platform, Microsoft are planing on implementing offline file access for OneDrive folders. What this means is that you can choose to save specific folders in your OneDrive account locally, accessing them at all times without the need for a data connection.

Offline access on Windows Phone

I keep a lot of documents on OneDrive and on Windows i can select what to sync and to keep available offline. I would like to be able to do the same on Windows Phone so the documents/folders i care about would be available offline. Simple thing, but i dont see it available right now. Seems to be core part of the functionality on Windows app?

Thanks for the suggestion. We know offline access is important, and we intend to bring this feature to Windows Phone. We don’t have a specific timeline yet.

This feature would be particularly useful for accessing folders that you frequent a lot, maybe a powerpoint presentation or a file of images you like showing off to your friends, either way we can’t wait for this feature to come. The lack of a specific timeline to implement this feature is a bit disappointing, but hopefully we’ll have it sooner rather than later.

Thanks for the tip Alvester
