Here’s a cute inforgraphic showing the history of the phone giant Nokia, all the way from when it started as a paper mill company in Finland back in 1865; after which it began manufacturing rubber for tires and boots. In 1966 Nokia entered the telecommunications industry.
Skipping ahead a hundred years or so, Nokia adopted and abandoned the Symbian platform, had a brief fling with Meego before joining the Windows Phone team. Of course after all that Nokia’s devices and services division was purchased by Microsoft, and Nokia went ahead and teamed up with Foxconn to produce the Nokia N1, an Android 5.0 powered tablet.
Thanks for the tip Alvester
