standard Windows 10 for Phones to Support Standalone NFC Card Payments

windows10 630With Google’s purchase of Softcard and unceremonious disposal of the app’s services, Windows Phone users were left in the cold in terms of payment options through their phone. However it seems once again Windows 10 will be the solution to our problems, as it will reportedly support NFC payments directly, without the need for a middle-man app like softcard.

windows-10-nfcUsing “Host Card Emulation” similar to the basis of all-in-one cards like the “coin” wallet and others, your phone will emulate your bank card, and directly charge you for your purchase through the wallet app; similar to the ApplePay setup. Yay!
