Australian prices for the new Lumia 950 and 950XL are now available on the Microsoft Store website. It is clear that Microsoft, at least in Australia is pricing these handsets in the realm of the Apple – an unlocked 16GB iPhone 6S will currently set you back $1079, and a 6S Plus costs $1229.
No word yet on when these handsets are hitting shelves, but rumours suggest a December launch. At this point there are no concrete details on what providers will be offering the pair of flagships on contract either, although based on previous Lumia handsets it would be a safe bet assuming that each of the Big Three (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone) will be stocking them.
The launch of these two new phones (and the 550 also) are good timing for Microsoft in Australia, as they prepare for their grand opening of the first ever Australian Microsoft Store in Sydney CBD shortly.
