One of the most annoying parts of living in a “non-priority market” has always been the lack of support when it comes to regional apps and services. However thankfully Google have now added live traffic view to the map data in some areas of the Middle-East, currently confirmed to be available in at least Jordan and Egypt.
Awesome news, Google Maps now supports real time traffic updates in Jordan. pic.twitter.com/JcqXC6XDs9

A quick test of the map data earlier today showed some pretty accurate traffic info, although further testing is indeed needed. Previously I had started using Waze (which is also owned by Google) to get a quick look at the traffic, but it often lacked data due to the limited user-pool, but is definitely useful when it comes to speed cameras and police traps.
Have you noticed the traffic updates becoming available anywhere else? Let us know down below.
