After much delay, the latest Android version, 6.0 Marshmallow has begun rolling out to the Levant region LG G4’s. The local LG accounts promised that the update would be rolled out at the end of last year. Nonetheless, LG have begun rolling out the update to eligible devices, which currently only includes the G4, but will hopefully expand to include the V10, G3 and other devices soon.

The update itself is quite large, weighing in at nearly 900 MBs; my G4 has already received and completed the update, which took about 20 minutes to install and optimize apps. Major features in the update include Google on tap, better battery optimization, app-by-app security permissions, and several other useful features and tweaks.

Have you gotten any Marshmallow love on your phone yet? Let us know down below.

Still waiting for 6.0 on my G4 here in Mexico but from what I’ve seen and read it’s not the “super update” we all have been waiting for.
