standard New universal Windows 10 Instagram app in private beta, full featured iOS port

Instagram is one of the Windows Phone apps that was released and never updated, it’s been well over a year since the last feature addition to the app and it has barely changed since launching. In fact it still carries the “beta” tag that it launched with.

Now a new video shows off a new version of the Windows Phone app, which is based off an iOS port (using the project island-wood bridging). The new Windows 10 universal app brings all the features of the iOS version, including uploading videos, direct messaging and multiple other features missing from the current WP Beta.

The video above shows the new app in action, which is currently still in a private beta; with no sign on when it will be released to the public. For now however it’s back to 6tag.
